Victoria Beckham has become a modern style icon for a reason. She defines her own category of chic sophisticated style with her elevated outfits, even at the airport (think chic pleated miniskirts, elegantly matching co-ords, and a pair of oversized sunglasses). Her own fashion line is full of wearable pieces that work at the office and on weekends. But considering the price—a washed silk shirt from the Victoria Beckham line can cost upwards of $900,while dresses from her second line, Victoria, Victoria Beckham can cost over $1,000—the former Spice Girls's fashion brand hasn’t been accessible to many.
That is, until now. Starting on April 9 next year, all Target locations and Target.com will stock a 200-piece collection by the designer. Priced between $6 and $70, the collaboration will include everything from apparel and accessories for women as well as clothing for toddlers and babies—Beckham’s first foray into designing children's wear. The women’s collection use silhouettes from Victoria, Victoria Beckham as a primary reference point, while the children's clothes are inspired by Beckham's own experience as a mother.
Victoria Beckham shares her makeup routine:
"For a while now, I have been thinking how great it would be to work on clothes for a customer that either doesn’t want to pay or can’t pay designer prices," said the designer in a statement. "I loved the idea of opening the brand up to a wider audience and being able to share my vision with a broader customer base." Beckham has certainly been appealing to the masses this year with a limited-edition cosmetics collection with Estée Lauder, but this will be her first in fashion.
The collection will be available in stores until April 30 or until everything sells out—we’re guessing the latter will come first. It will also be available in sizes XS to 3X—the inclusive sizing had previously only been available online with past designer collaborations at Target. In case you can’t make it to a Target location, pieces will also be available on Victoriabeckham.com, giving people around the world the option to shop this covetable collection. While there's no word on the designs just yet, we can surely expect Beckham's clean lines and minimalist aesthetic—here's hoping for the crushed-velvet dresses our editors loved from her recent runway collection.
