If you're like me and follow hundreds of Instagram makeup artists for inspo and eye candy, you've probably scrolled past a pictures of the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette a handful of times. (If you haven't, you might be following the wrong people.) Every time I get to a picture of it on my feed (a.k.a. every day), I can't help but stop scrolling, throw the post a like, and ogle for a good minute or two. The shadows look exactly like planets, guys. As a lover of all things galaxy makeup lately, how could I not be out-of-this-world mesmerized?
If you haven't heard of BH Cosmetics, I'll give you a little run down. They are the same company that collaborated with Ashley Tisdale for her makeup and brush line that launched earlier this year. Their products are super inexpensive—ranging from around $3 to $22—and they carry everything from chubby liner pencils to individual shadow palettes, brushes, and lipsticks. As far as the affordable element, at just $12, the Instagram-famous galazy palette is no exception. The palette comes with 18 shadows, so that makes each of them less than a dollar (66 cents, to be exact). As I've mentioned before, I didn't take the easiest math course in college for nothing, folks.

The solar system-like shades in the BH Cosmetics Galaxy Chic Baked Eyeshadow Palette basically cover the entire ROYGBIV color spectrum. (It's just missing a true yellow and a neon green like the new Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette.) However, the intensely pigmented shadows are great for creating everyday looks with a shimmery twist or bold smoky eyes. Of course, each of them have universe-inspired names to fit the galaxy theme. Some of the colors even match their names, especially the planet ones. Earth is, of course, a sky blue with green under tones, and Mars (shout out to the Red Planet) is a metallic burgundy. My favorite shade in the palette, however, doesn't exactly fit it's name. I haven't seen an actual asteroid lately, so I can't confirm if it looks like the shade in the palette. According to BH Cosmetics, Astroid is an eggplant duo chrome with a baby blue shift. Accurate or not, I'm into it and get why this shade and the 17 others are popping on Instagram.
