Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Brushes: Everything You Need to Know (Update)

UPDATE (November 23, 2016 10:00 a.m.): When Anastasia Beverly Hills teased new brushes on Instagram, I thought we'd be getting, like, three. Instead, the first-ever line of Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Brushes is launching on Black Friday and there's a whooping 25—let me repeat, 25— of them, you guys. The smallest is a superfine-tipped creme liner brush cleverly called Swish. The biggest is the Large Powder Brush, which has fluffy, tapered bristles that can be used on face and body, and in between are several shadow, foundation, and contouring brushes so every inch of your complexion is covered. My personal favorites of the bunch are the Large Shadow Brush and the Tapered Blending Brush, the latter an essential for eye-shadow lovers like me. (I learned that from some pro makeup artists.)

Some of the Pro Brushes—like the Precise Concealer Brush—have synthetic fiber bristles, while the brushes designed specifically for powder products and blending (like the Blush Brush) are made with natural hair. And thankfully for our wallet's sake, they each will be sold separately.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Brushes will be available November 25 on anastasiabeverlyhills.com with a special discount. All will be 25 percent off (how fitting) for Black Friday, so you definitely have a reason to stock up.

As I was sweeping on the Kim shade from the Master Palette by Mario this morning, I began wishing I had a couple more Anastasia Beverly Hills brushes on hand besides the double-sided one that comes with the palette. (Honestly, I prefer a wider shadow brush to the small complimentary one.) It just doesn't have the kind of surface-area-to-time ratio that I look for in an eye-shadow brush. Luckily, the Anastasia Beverly Hills brush of my dreams may be on its way. The company posted on an Instagram photo yesterday announcing the arrival of more Anastasia Beverly Hills brushes on Black Friday, which this year falls on November 25. As if I weren't already pumped enough for Thanksgiving (and the subsequent sales), my excitement is very real now.

Anastasia Beverly Hills currently offers a highlighter brush for sweeping on shades from their Glow Kits, a variety of brow tools (naturally), a concealer brush, and a slim, tapered brush for liner looks. With everyone obsessing over the Mario palette (including me), shadow brushes seem like the next logical addition to the line.

More on brushes:

Specific information about the latest Anastasia Beverly Hills brushes hasn't been released yet, however, the Instagram post strongly hints that we'll be getting at least three new shadow brushes to use with the company's popular palettes and eye-shadow singles.

From my personal observations and zooming, there appears to be a fluffier blending brush, a wide all-over brush, and a compact smudging brush. We reached out to Anastasia Beverly Hills for more information and will update this post as soon as we hear back.
