Lola Rykiel Shares Her Trés Magnifique Beauty Routine

As the granddaughter of the world renowned French designer, Sonia Rykiel, Lola Rykiel grew up in the world by high fashion. The elder designer, who was lovingly known as the Queen of Knitwear, passed away this August. For the past few years, the younger Rykiel has served as the public relations director to her late grandmother's brand. Recently, Rykiel launched her own New York City PR agency, Le Chocolat Noir, keeping the Sonia Rykiel line on as a client and picking up others like the French jeweler Marie-Hélène de Taillac. It follows suit that this fashion royalty #girlboss would have one heck of an impressively honed beauty routine.

But of course, she is French. Meaning Rykiel's effortless look is light on makeup, relying instead on luxe skincare. Her vanity is stocked with French finds, including some of our own personal favorites like Clarins Eye Revive Beauty Flash, which she taps to deflate puffy eyes, and the which gives dull skin a quick pick-me-up. Once her complexion is quenched, Rykiel moves on to fragrance. She tells Allure she likes to apply her favorite scent, Ellis Raven Excellent Body Milk after a shower. And when it's time for makeup, she sticks to the très joli essentials: tinted moisturizer, bronzer, eyelash curler, and mascara.

While showing us her beauty gems, Rykiel also tipped us off to a few lesser-known discoveries. When it comes to toning loose skin on the arms, stomach, and legs, she likes Dermadvanced Gel Amincissant Double Action Slimlift, a cellulite zapping gel she refers to as a "French thing."
