Now You Can Get Your Hair Cut With Actual Finger Claw Shears

When it comes to achieving multi-dimensional layers, sometimes the shears just aren't enough. Now, there's a revolutionary (albeit weird) way to texturize your hair. Enter Clawz, a set of finger claw shears that stylists can wear over their fingers to chop your hair.

Aside from the fact that they deliver pretty awesome results, the process is mesmerizing to watch. It's like a low-key horror film meets new age hair tech. In other words: it's pretty mind-blowing. Just thank it’s creator, Valentino Lo Sauro, who’s beginning to gain some attention on Instagram for the clips he posts of people getting their hair cut with the finger claw shears.

According to Valentino's site, to understand the product, you need to understand the "science of its personality." When you use Clawz on your fingertips "you feel a harmony and a relationship." He goes on to explain that the strokes of a clawing motion are in direct opposition to the usual structure of hair design. "Texture is the road map to the cut. The cut must establish the silhouette but be subtly contained within the texture of the hair," he says.

As expected, social media is fawning over the invention. Though it's been around for decades, it's just starting to pick some some serious traction. "That's insane," reads one comment, "For when you need to be a cat and a stylist at the same time," reads another. So whether or not you're trying to land yourself in the seat of a stylist with Clawz, or just want another unexplainably satisfying way to burn some time during the day, finger claw shears may just be the hair product for you.
