The skin-care and makeup brand is dropping its newest product—the Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich—just in time for the coldest season of the year (and after thousands of fan requests) to help moisturize complexions crippled by dry, winter wind. As a quick refresher, a little less than a year ago, the company crowd-sourced feedback on a heavy-duty moisturizer. We're now seeing the results of those labors.
On Into The Gloss the company describes the new skin wunderkind as having a "luxuriously rich texture that melts into skin immediately without ever feeling greasy." The Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich is also paraben- and fragrance-free and spiked with ceramides to hydrate the driest of complexions. All that is to say that while you're also moisturizing, you're also forming a barrier on your complexion to protect against cold-weather conditions, like wind, UV rays, etc.
But, according to the beauty brand, even more exciting than its winter-ready cream is the sleek (and scientific) jar it's packaged in, which is apparently made with a preservative system that kills bacteria, but is also completely safe on skin. In the original comments thread from February of this year, many users expressed trepidation about a jar, namely because it's not as handy as a pump, and also can collect bacteria and debris faster than sealed containers. But Glossier assures us that they've conquered that with some pretty innovative jar packaging. Consider our collective inner beauty nerd very psyched to learn more.

The new Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich is the brand's second foray into straight-up skin care that we've reported on recently. In September, we told you about The Supers, a collection of three serums targeted for a range of skin concerns. And most recently, we reported on their adorable limited-edition holiday offering, The Black Tie Set, which contains the brand's first eyeliner, nail polish and lip gloss.
Excited to score the new Glossier Priming Moisturizer Rich? You'll have to wait until January, once the cream officially becomes available online for $35 per jar at glossier.com. But until, feel free to check back here for more information.
