Before you freak, hear us out: Vaseline is known and loved for its ultra-hydrating petroleum jelly formula, so right off the bat you know the salve is going to make for a great balm base on your pout. And if you've ever come across a gorgeous eye shadow shade that you think would look just as gorgeous on your lips as it does on your lids, then please, follow along. (And if you haven't, maybe you should start shopping the drugstore eyeshadow hues that would look good as lipstick, TBH.)
For this simple Vaseline beauty hack, you'll need the following two ingredients for your new lipstick: one small jar of Vaseline and an eye-shadow shade you've been dying to try—on your pucker. Once you've got the essentials, dip your finger into the jelly jar, and then spread the salve onto to the back of your hand. From there, rub your finger tip into your shadow case to pick up the loose pigment and then mix it into the moisturizer, creating one seriously saturated lip color worthy of a selfie (or two!).
Once you've mixed the shade to your liking, apply the newly mixed "lipstick" to your pucker (or reach for a lip brush if you're worried about making a mess), for your brand-new, super-soft lip look.
