New Emojis Are Here to Help You Get Through the Rest of 2016

We've been talking about those new emojis forever—and they are FINALLY here.

The new emojis arrived on Monday when the tech giant rolled out iOS 10.2, the latest version of their mobile operating system. In addition to equipping devices with the new TV app, this software update contained redesigns of some of classic characters and a whole slew of new emojis, including those 72 new ones that we were promised back in June. This is the most extensive and inclusive emoji update since Apple introduced racial diversity in 2015. In addition to the gorgeous redesigns of select animals and hand gestures, the company had included new professionals and athletes that give women equal representation on your keyboard.

More emojis worth the download:

  1. These Cute Peaches From Who Else But Too Faced
  2. This Beauty-Themed Keyboard From L'Oreal
  3. Or, Buy These Charlotte Olympia Emoji Kitty Flats

Of course there's a few fun items interspersed in the update as well, including the highly desired food items, like bacon, champagne glasses and a person face-palming. Those who feared that Apple would seriously hurt their sexting game when news spread last month that the peach emoji was getting less butt-like shape can rest easy knowing that the company has only slightly altered the fruit's color.

Apple

"iOS 10 was a massive release for Messages, introducing predictions that present the perfect emoji as you type, a Tap to Replace feature that lets you 'emojify' any message and emoji that appear three times larger within a message when sent on their own," Apple said in an official statement on their website.

To see each new emoji in all its redesigned glory you can either update your Apple device or simply mosey over to Emojipedia where you can scroll through the whole cast of new characters.
