Surprise: Louis Vuitton Is Opening a Pop-Up Shop

Raise your hand if a pop-up shop as been your saving grace in a pinch? You know the scene: You desperately need a great gift for a friend, but you’re pressed for time. You think about running to a major retailer, but the mere thought of fighting your way through the crowd is nauseating. That’s where pop up shops come to play—they’re strategically placed to make our lives a bit easier and allow for shoppers to get personal with the brand.

That was the thought process when Louis Vuitton decided to open its first pop-up shop in the US after a five-city tour with stops in Paris, London, Seoul and Dubai. Fancy, huh?

But the new shop is unlike your typical random candle or T-shirt store. Louis Vuitton is bringing its fragrance concept, Les Parfums Louis Vuitton to the focus allowing shoppers to experiment with seven fragrances: Rose des Vents, Turbulences, Dans la Peau, Apogée, Contre Moi, Matière Noire and Mille Feux.

“Pop-up stores are great tools for us to tell the story behind our products, especially for such a special project like our multiple fragrance launch,” Michael Burke, chairman and chief executive officer of the LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton told WWD. “They create the excitement and they allow us to connect with our clients in a different way.”

We couldn’t agree more.

If you live in California you’re in luck. The new shop opens at the South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa and will be around until July of next year. But, if you don’t (and sadly that’s most of us) you’ll have to purchase the fragrances online or head to an international location.

The fragrance in the collection clocks in at $350 and $240—depending on the size of course. So save your coins and get ready to trek to Cali.
