The Tarte Athleisure Line Is Filled With Gym Bag Essentials

When you think about Tarte, we're guessing kickboxing and S'well waterbottles aren't the first things that come to mind. Until today. The Tarte Athleisure line lets you can channel your glam and athletic sides at the same time. This weekend, one of our favorite cruelty-free companies launched a handful of products targeted to speak to a more active-oriented consumer, like the type who would wear these Outdoor Voices leggings. This isn't to say the brand is suggesting you wear a full face of makeup to the gym. In fact, quite the opposite.

With athleisure taking over the runway and celebrity wardrobes, it was only a matter of time before the trend hit our makeup bags—and our gym makeup bags, as it were. The Eyeko Sport Waterproof Mascara, which repels sweat, was a lunge in the beauty athleisure direction. Earlier this year, Birchbox launched Arrow, a line of long-wearing and sweat-resistant makeup.

The most unexpected part of the Tarte athleisure line is just as portable as the rest. Just brush it onto your teeth and go—there's no need to rinse. Its patented calcium complex keeps your teeth from becoming painfully sensitive like most teeth whiteners. After brightening up your skin with the highlighting moisturizer, might as well do the same for your teeth, right?

With contouring concealers and quick-drying lip paints on their roster, we'd be lying if we said this line from Tarte didn't surprise us. But that sweatproof mascara seems so on-point, and we can't wait to give it a spin at, well, SoulCycle.
