When I was a born, I looked a lot like a very small monkey. Dark hair and an (inevitably) red butt didn’t really help with the baboon look alike contest, either. A hairy baby can be cute, or not so cute. But the two-month-old daughter of a Redditor who’s going viral for her thick, lush hair, is the epitome of cuteness. Her proud father posted the photo to /r/Aww, adding that he’s extra proud of his daughter’s growing mane because he’s completely bald. Genetics just aren’t fair, are they?
Little baby Alexandra, who’s half Filipina, has hair so soft-looking I can actually feel my fingers itching to stroke (and maybe French braid) it. In case you’re wondering what Instagram hair bloggers look like when they’re born, this is it. Proud dad Brngrhm84 told commenters she’d entered the world with a full head of hair. And, if that old wives’ tale about heartburn meaning you'll have a hairy baby is true, then Alexandra really did a number on her mother.

Alexandra follows in the footsteps of several other follicularly blessed babies we’ve seen in the last few months: bouffant baby, certainly, and one little girl born with a fully styled mane. But, in case you’re worried about accidentally giving birth to a child who looks like Rapunzel by the time she’s two, rest assured: All hair is normal. Children born with hair might lose it and grow a new texture, while some children are even born covered in fuzz-like body hair called lanugo. Just like eye color, it will take time to settle.
Of course, Reddit wasn’t about to let this one go without a few Zoolander jokes. Commenters wondered how long it’ll be until baby Alexandra can do a perfect “Blue Steel” pout, and how hard it is being really, really ridiculously good-looking as a baby.
Just imagine shampooing that soft, shiny baby hair. That’s really a reward, not a chore. Baby Alexandra is beating us all when it comes to hair goals.
