Yankee Candle Recalls Votives After Glass Breaking

If you've got plans for warm, cozy nights indoors, with a cup of eggnog in hand and a few candles lighting ablaze, you may want to steer clear of certain seasonally-scented votives.

Yankee Candle is officially recalling its Luminous Collection Fragrance Candles after receiving 16 separate reports of shattered glass casing when the candles were lit, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

If you're a devoted fan of the candle giant and have been counting down the days to strike a match to your beloved Christmas Cookie votive, don't fret just yet. As of now, only the Luminous Collection Fragrance Candles pose a safety threat due to the glass casing's "artisan hand-blown glass," and they've now since been removed from all Yankee Candle stores as well as the brand's website.

But if you've already stocked up for dear 'ol mom with one of the deliciously scented candles from the collection, which are four-inches wide by five-inches high, take a look at the product numbers and corresponding scents below to double-check if you've managed to pick up one of the now-recalled candles:

1535893: Pine & Sandalwood

1535894: Cinnamon & Cedar
