Hair Nails Is Apparently a Thing and Honestly, We're Scared

When it comes to nail art, there are SO many trends it can be hard to keep up with them all. Some are surprisingly simple while others are extremely complicated, and only the pros should be trusted to try 'em. For example, metallic ombré is actually pretty easy, while getting the perfect fruit manicure or geode nail can be quite the feat. Beyond technicality, there's also practicality, and some nail trends just aren't made for IRL (remember bubble nails?) — and that's exactly what's happening with this new trend, hair nails.

Okay, so it may not be a full-fledged trend yet, but considering it has its own Twitter Moment already, I'm calling it early. Dain Yoon created these nails, and actually he's not even a nail artist — he's an illusion artist, but he may as well join the beauty industry, given the overwhelming response he's gotten to his work. If you look closely, you can see that each nail shows a different mood of the wearer, so this new trend may be a new version of a personalized mood chart.

Some folks, of course, pointed out the various disadvantages of having hair on the tips of your fingers, while another Twitter user "literally didn't hate it" and asked for help. Lord, help us all.
