Benefit Just Recalled Some of Its Gimme Brow Brow Gel

Benefit has many cult-favorite products: Their brow products are amazing, the Watt's Up Highlighter is a dream, and Benetint is many folks' first foray into the world of makeup. However, they're currently having an issue with one of those top-selling brow products and have decided to take a better safe than sorry approach to the whole situation by doing a recall.

The product in question is Benefit's Gimme Brow brow gel, a tinted brow gel so good that it actually won Allure's Best of Beauty award in 2013, 2015, and 2017. While there's nothing about the product that'll actually harm customers, Benefit is recalling Gimme Brow anyway because it doesn't meet their usual quality standards, as reported in a statement on their website.

The full statement reads: "Benefit Cosmetics is committed to the highest levels of quality and doing what’s right for our customers. Out of an abundance of caution, we are initiating a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that recent batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards. If applied in its normal usage on the brows, the Gimme Brow product doesn’t involve any risk. However, if it comes into contact with the eyes, it could lead to eye irritation."

Benefit is making it incredibly easy for those who have the product to make returns. All you have to do is return it to the original place of purchase to receive a full refund. They've also provided plenty of places you can contact them if you have any questions, listed on the website here.
