Huda Beauty Just Swatched Its 30 Foundation Shades on a Super Inclusive Group of Models

Brands are getting a lot better about being inclusive lately (though some still have a way to go). Many of our long-time fave brands have really been stepping it up when it comes to offering makeup in shade ranges that offer options for nearly everyone, and new brands are releasing whopping collections that have foundations in almost every shade (hi, Fenty!). Huda Beauty is among the latter group, as the brand just released its first foundation ever in 30 colors, and the formula is receiving amazing reviews. Now, I'm giving them the thumbs up, too — but not for a reason you may expect.

Since the #FauxFilter Foundation launch, Huda Beauty has posted numerous pictures and videos on the brand's Instagram showing folks trying out the foundation. But it's one photo in particular that has me super excited about the brand.

The photo shows 30 people, all wearing the #FauxFilter foundation, meant to be a guide of sorts to help people pick out the shade of foundation closest to their own skin tone. However, the photo shows both men and women wearing the product, and I absolutely love that. Makeup is for everyone, and yet there's often a stigma against men who choose to wear makeup. A brand like Huda Beauty normalizing men wearing makeup by including them in the swatching photo may seem like a small gesture, but it's actually a pretty big deal IMO, and they get major points in my book for it. Check out the photo to see which #FauxFilter Foundation color looks like your color and then snag a bottle on the Sephora website here ($40).
