When the ultra-trendy skin-care-meets-makeup brand, Farsáli, first announced it would be releasing its Jelly Beam highlighter, beauty lovers (ourselves included) were counting down the days until it dropped. And once the hotly-anticipated champagne luminizer finally launched on November 1, it wasn't long before Sephora frequenters snatched up every last one. But if you missed out on the chance to snag a Jelly Beam for yourself, fret not, as it turns out we have a pretty stellar solution for you.
Said solution actually involves another gorgeous glow-giver, which happens to be a pretty promising dupe for the Farsáli one. The dupe in question, called "Strobe Gel," hails from makeup brand Zoeva Cosmetics, and akin to Farasali's Jelly Beam, offers a unique gel formula that glides on seamlessly and blends like butter.
Unlike its doppelganger, which is a stand-alone shade, Zoeva's Strobe Gel comes in six separate — albeit equally angelic — hues like bronze (Aureole), pearl (Halo), sparkling peach (Nova), and more. The color closest to that of Jelly Beam, however, has got to be Corona, as it imparts the same gilded champagne lit-from-within look that Farsáli's does. (Full disclaimer: Don't expect the Strobe Gels to be as intensely pigmented as Jelly Beam, which boasts an otherworldly glow that could very well be seen from outer space.) That being said, it's close — really close — and for a cool $16 versus $40, you can't go wrong.
Needless to say, if you're in need of a fresh illuminator to amp your glow game in the new year, look no further. And if you do try them out, definitely let us know how it compares to Jelly Beam, which, fingers crossed, comes back in stock soon.
