Watch Beyoncé Wipe Her Lip Gloss Off Jay Z at Pre-Grammys Brunch

There's a reason they call Beyoncé "the queen." Pretty much everything she does becomes instantly popular with her fans (or, members of the Bey-hive) — it's honestly like she has the Midas touch, but better. That's also why many of the things she does are sometimes considered meme-worthy. In fact, many folks recreated her iconic pregnancy announcement, created memes of the birth of Rumi and Sir, and there was also that time her friends and family turned themselves into her to celebrate her birthday. The tiniest Bey acts can garner major attention from the hive — even a simple kiss between husband and wife — and that's exactly what happened at the Roc Nation pre-Grammys brunch this Saturday.

The pair attended the annual brunch together on Saturday, January 27, at the top of One World Trade Center in New York City. Beyoncé herself shared numerous photos on Instagram of the gorgeous couple, but the meme-worthy moment came from a video posted by Twitter account Beyoncé Legion. The video shows Beyoncé hugging Jay Z while kissing him on the lips. Cute, right?

But she didn't stop there. She took it upon herself to wipe the lip gloss off his upper lip after the short kiss, knowing dozens of cameras were watching, then seamlessly continued their embrace. Amazing. Rapper Cupcakke (also known as Marilyn MonHOE on Twitter) quote-tweeted the video, saying, "Since Beyoncé kiss her man and wipe the lipgloss off after. We all kiss our men and wipe the lipgloss off after. Queen of not leaving stains, bounty is shook." Obviously, since Beyoncé takes such care with her husband post-kiss, all Bey-fans must now do the same — that's how the rules work. Coincidentally, that's also how a meme is born.

While it's a sweet gesture, it's also a little bit of common sense. If you're wearing lipstick or gloss and you're gonna kiss your partner, it's kind of your duty to help 'em clean up after — especially if the paps are following your every move. Then again, you could always just slap on some kiss-proof lipstick and call it a day.
