We've all been there: sitting anxiously in a salon chair as the stylist goes to work, snipping here, chopping there, all while doing so with the confidence of the legendary Guido Palau. But, so often as we're in the midst of a chop, things can tend to look...a little cray, and it can certainly be distressing if you're not loving what you see in the mirror during the process. However, if you're in the hands of a trusted stylist, it usually all turns out A-OK, meaning the end result is a fab new haircut worthy of compliments galore.
Anywho, it's safe to say I've seen my fair share of midway-done hair makeovers in my day, many of which have looked wacky AF and gave me a good chuckle, but none of them have knocked my socks off quite like the one I came across today amid my morning Instagram scroll. The thing is, it made my jaw drop not only because of how hilarious and completely off-kilter the cut began, but because of how seriously amazing it turned out in the end.

Enter Simone Boscolo, an Italian barber who shared a video captioned, "SCARECROW ..... 🇮🇹🔥" to their Instagram on Thursday, January 4. The clip in question features Boscolo using a razor to cut a client's hair, but that's obviously not the odd part. The part worth noting is the fact that the barber cuts this man's strands in the shape of a fucking scarecrow, going in with the razor layer by layer to create the desired appearance of the autumnal staple.
Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, it got better. The finished look ended up being a sleek, short style with subtly buzzed sides and the top slicked back.
TBH, I'm still reeling from how this turned out so good, but it just goes to show you shouldn't judge until you see the final product.
