As a skin-care newbie, I used to make special errands to Bliss Spa to pick up my favorite moisturizer, Bliss Fabulous Face Lotion. So strong was my obsession that the out-of-my-budget price tag and annoying addition to my commute seemed, well, worth it. Fast forward a few years, and the iconic spa brand just got a makeover that changes everything.
Call me biased, but Bliss has always been great. Its lineup of head-to-toe moisturizers made it possible to score that soft-as-a-petal skin you get after a full-body treatment at the spa in your own home. But thanks to a total brand relaunch this spring, the lineup is now nearly perfect. We're talking new products, upgraded formulations of your favorites, and a significant drop in prices — all wrapped in Instagram-friendly new designs.
First, let's talk products. In addition to some of the brand's hero offerings, which have stuck around (three cheers for Bliss's iconic body butters ($12) and the classic facial-in-a-jar Triple Oxygen Mask ($22), Bliss has added some noteworthy new items to the fam.
There's Mighty Marshmallow ($16) a millennial pink concoction formulated to coax a lit-from-within glow from tired skin. The Bliss Jelly Glow Ball Radiance Cleanser ($16) with lychee takes your standard cleanser and turns it into a literal bouncy ball designed to give you a gentle facial massage as you de-grit. Also worth noting, is the new Pore Patrol Mask ($16), a soufflé formula whipped with bentonite clay and glycolic acid to remove oil and unclog pores.
But in case you're not already in a state of pure bliss, the relaunch gets even better. All the formulas in Bliss 2.0 are entirely cruelty-free, vegan, and made without parabens and phthalates. It's bliss for your skin and your conscience.
The full, 36-product line launches online today at blissworld.com, where everything will probably look drastically cheaper than you remember — every item in the new line is under $25. The new and improved Bliss is also rolling out in stores this spring, so no more out of the way trips to a Bliss spa. You can shop it at Target on March 18 and Ulta on April 1.
