Bella Hadid can pull off any beauty look, but she normally sticks with a slicked-back bun, expertly flicked liquid eyeliner, and lip gloss. But, on Wednesday, the model debuted a statement shoulder-length bob with bangs that fall just below her eyebrows and, frankly, she looks like a high-fashion Lord Farquaad from Shrek. In the coolest high-waisted patchwork pants, a white T-shirt, and a black belt, Hadid casually showed off the freshly-trimmed choppy bangs, done by hairstylist Jennifer Yepez. She paired the hairstyle with rosy cheeks and glossy mauve lips.
Several other celebrities have also been going big with bangs in 2018 — Emma Roberts, Bella Thorne, and Emma Watson have all dared to go short with baby bangs, which sit way above the brow bone. Others, like Kirsten Dunst and Beyoncé, have taken the long route with curtain bangs that hang closer to the ear and feature a middle part. But, like Goldilocks searching for her porridge, Hadid has found the right not-too-long, not-too-short length for her face with the right amount of piecey texture.
This isn't the first time Bella has rocked bangs, either. In fact, the model has tried all different styles, from blunt to shaggy. The newest look, according to Refinery29, is in preparation for a Dior shoot, so there is a chance it isn't a permanent chop, but rather clip-ins or a wig.
Hadid's hairstylist, Chad Wood, recently declared that "Spring is a fun time to play," and it looks like that's exactly what she is doing. "Take a risk! This is the time to try something new. Act on that risk by getting a cut, whether it be a strong trim or a completely new look," he told W magazine.
It's impossible to get bored of Bella's fashion and beauty looks, and this is another one we'll pinning to our spring inspiration board.
