When the warmer months roll around, we tend to change up our beauty routines to reflect the weather. Makeup often gets brighter (and is applied with a lighter hand) and skin-care needs change, too — while heavier moisturizers are needed in the winter, creams are often swapped out for water-based gels in the summer. Boscia, a major fave in the beauty industry, knows that all too well, and has an upcoming launch that's right on trend for the rising temperatures: Cactus Water Moisturizer.
The brand, which is responsible for cult faves like the Luminizing Pink Mask and the Charcoal Jelly Ball Cleanser, has been teasing its upcoming launch for a few days now on its Instagram account. It first posted a photo of some cactus leaves, saying, "Our newest launch will be one that you'll truly be -- stuck on." Shortly after, the brand posted a photo of some unmarked jars, saying, "Here’s the first clue for our upcoming launch! 🌵💧 Are you ready to be stuck on even more plant-to-bottle formulas?" And finally, another photo of a jar splashing through some water with the caption, "We're making more than just a splash when it comes to skincare with this one."
Fans had some guesses (some closer than others), but Instagram account Trendmood1 solved the mystery with a composite photo of the new product, which of course is Boscia's Cactus Water Moisturizer. According to the caption, the new product will quench and hydrate parched skin. It's also infused with Queen of the Night Cactus, which is "a rare ingredient hailed for its ability to survive and thrive in the harshest of climates." It's supposedly a fast-absorbing formula that works on both combination and oily skin to improve moisture levels, and will prime and perfect the skin before the application of makeup.
According to Trendmood1, the Cactus Water Moisturizer will be sold for $38 at Sephora, but there's no information yet about exactly when it'll be available, though it does say it's coming soon. Keep an eye on Boscia's Instagram for more information.
