In order to more its complexion offerings more inclusive, Tarte is nearly doubling the shades of four of its foundations and concealers. After receiving criticism for not having enough shades of Shape Tape Foundation with its initial launch, Tarte's founder and CEO Maureen Kelly admits, "I made a mistake and let all my Tartlettes down."
The cruelty-free brand started off by announcing on Instagram today that the beloved Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation officially comes in 40 shades now. By upping the number from 25, this is the broadest collection Tarte has ever done. Five different undertones are accounted for with the matte formula's expansion, too: beige (pink), sand (yellow), neutral, honey (peach), and golden. Previously, only four were available.
Also, all the shades are now denoted with a number and letter to make them easier to navigate (and, let's be real, easier to remember). The best part is for the next two days, you can shop the Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Foundation for $25 (rather than $39) by entering the code CLAY at checkout on tarte.com.
And that's not all: The cult-favorite Creaseless Concealer is relaunching with a brand-new wand and 16 new shades, making it available in a grand total of 30 hues. The undereye concealer used to come in a tube that would make dispensing the right amount of product difficult. Now, you can simply dab the full-coverage formula onto your dark circles with the fluffy doe-foot applicator.
In case you need a refresher, the concealer is spiked with maracuja, so it naturally brightens skin with vitamin C as well as hydrates it for 16 hours. Plus, it keeps the concealer from drying down and looking cakey. You can shop the new-and-improved Creaseless Concealer now for $26 on tarte.com, too.
Coming up the pike, the Shape Tape Contour Concealer will be available in about double the amount of shades that are out now. In August, the shade offerings will jump from 14 to 30. The Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation complexion spectrum will be upped to 30 colors, as well, from its current range of 21 shades. We'll be sure to keep you updated on exact launch dates for these expansions.
