Finding the exact lipstick I want to wear for the day can be quite the struggle. Ones with the shade visible at the bottom of the tube, like the E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick are my saviors when I'm in a rush and there are dozens I'm sorting though. But that little colored cube on the bottom of the E.L.F. lipstick doesn't just function as an on-the-go color identifier; it's also a detachable lip balm. I know—I'll give you a second to let that sink in. My mind is blown, too.
Zofie, also known as @spoopykittten to her 13,400 Twitter followers, made the secret-lip-balm discovery yesterday and posted a tweet captioned, "THE BOTTOMS OF ELF LIPSTICKS POP OFF AND ARE LIP BALMS???" She attached two E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick pictures of the tubes with and without the bottom on, as well as a swatch of one of the balms to prove it. It looks like a sheer version of the lipstick. So far, the tweet has been retweeted 1,645 times and liked by 3,467 users—and counting. (And multiple accounts have since stolen the tweet and pictures without crediting her, of course.) It's safe to say we weren't the only ones who didn't notice this hidden feature.

Learn a Halloween lipstick hack:
Other users noticed that more lipstick brands have the same hidden feature, like L.A. Girl and Makeup Revolution. I tried a couple of my lipsticks too, and noticed the Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe Lip Colors also have lip balms attached.
You can get your own E.L.F. Moisturizing Lipstick now on elfcosmetics.com and try the attached lip balm out for yourself. Just like the brand's other products, like the gorgeous clear brushes, these lipsticks are super inexpensive—and awesome quality—at just $3. We reached out to E.L.F. to find out more info about the hidden feature and will update this post when we hear back.
