If you—like us—are obsessed with the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer, you’re not alone. Adored by makeup artists, celebrities, and beauty editors alike, it easily earned cult classic status for marrying a perfectly creamy consistency with a perfectly pearly, glow-enhancing hue. Originally launched in 2009, it’s the indie brand’s best-selling product to date, though we’re willing to bet that the brand's latest launch will offer some stiff competition.
Meet Magic Luminizer ($38, available starting today on rmsbeauty.com). Like its predecessor, the mega-hydrating formula is loaded with organic coconut oil and melts seamlessly into skin. It’s the shade—a warm champagne with a hint of peach—that’s different. While the opalescent pearl color of the Living Luminizer is definitely flattering on a wide array of skin tones, this new hue is especially choice for anyone with warmer undertones or particularly dark skin, who may have found the original a bit too white for their complexion. The shimmer factor is also amped up, since this color veers more toward opaque than sheer. "I wanted to take it to the next step and enter into the high impact highlighter arena but without the chemicals base that we see everywhere in traditional makeup," founder Rose-Marie Swift told Allure. "This is the Living Luminizer but to the extreme. It has a seductive, moonlit champagne opalescence that highlights and brightens the skin with a warmer glow."
Marianna Hewitt shows how to recreate that J.Lo glow:
Want further proof that Magic Luminizer is poised to be a major makeup hit? While it was still in development, Swift wore it out to dinner with Miranda Kerr…who was instantly obsessed and became the first person to get her hands on the product. We suggest you follow her lead and get your hands on one, stat.
