When I saw Amber Rose's recent Instagram posts about the new Flirt Cosmetics Chicers she created in collaboration with artist Donald Robertson, I was immediately brought back to high school. One year, I dressed up as Kat Von D (pre-beauty line) for Halloween because LA Ink was my favorite show at the time. (And I got a jacket at Forever 21 that I was convinced was so Kat.) My gold bomber jacket covered up my arms, so I committed to the look by drawing black stars on my face with liquid liner and putting on bright red lipstick. Honestly, I was feeling myself. To help myself relive this moment of confidence for Halloween this year, I got a pack of the Chicers. (Btw: Chic + stickers= Chicers.) The pack includes temporary stick-on beauty tattoos in star, heart, circle, lips, moon, and liner shapes. This morning, I realized I didn't have to wait until Halloween give these babies a spin in public, and decided to try them out today! Snap judgement: Flirt Cosmetics Chicers are super wearable for everyday life and actually helped pull together my complete look.
Inspired by Rose's makeup artist, Priscilla Ono, I applied the star stickers, as well as a moon, under my eyes to make it look like I was crying galaxies. It's almost like everyday galaxy makeup from Instagram, with no MUA skills required.
The thin stickers peeled off the sheet easily and adhered to my face with some light pressing. Luckily, they stay sticky, so I could play around with the arrangement of the star "tears" a bit without wasting the adhesive. The pack also comes with eye liner shapes, but I decided to forgo them. Instead, to let the stars shine, I kept my makeup minimal, with just foundation, a little blush, mascara, and the new Tarte Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint in Acid Wash.

Leaving the house, I was a bit anxious to show off my Chicer look. The Great Teva x Ugg Experiment of 2016 taught me that people are not afraid to stare you down on the train. Plus, the possibility of running into the hot guy who lives on my first floor of my apartment building made my heart palpitate. I didn't end up seeing him, but no matter, because more exciting things were in store.
On flirtcosmetics.com, they call the Chicers "weapons of mass seduction," and they weren't wrong. Every guy I passed on my way to work unapologetically stared me down. When I went out to get lunch, more attractive men made eye contact with me than they have in my whole life. Is this what Victoria's Secret models feel like?
Around the office, my new look was a huge hit. Everyone I passed stopped to say how much they loved the stars. For the first time in my life, I felt like the most popular girl. Some people thought I drew on the stars because the matte-finish stickers are so thin they seamlessly apply to skin. The best reaction came from a very unexpected source. Anna Wintour got into the same elevator as me on the way to the Allure floor and gave me the most genuine smile I've seen in a while. That's basically the only endorsement the Chicers need, right? I walked off the elevator feeling so giddy, you would have thought that I had bumped into my hot neighbor.
If you happen to hate them (but you're definitely going to love them!), removal is so easy. Unlike typical temporary tattoos or the Milk Makeup Tattoo Stamps, no face-washing is needed. All you need to do is peel them off. By the end of the day, I'm going to feel so sad saying farewell to my new Chicer friends. They were so good to me today.
You can buy your own pack of Flirt Cosmetic Chicers for $18 on flirtcosmetics.com. As the website warns, they may cause excessive hotness. Apply with caution.
