The fascination with the shimmering berry shade started back during the debates (remember those happy times?) when people started noticing the flattering subtle, yet strong lip color. Reddit user BeepsSweepsCreeps posted “I know, I know, don't focus on the female candidate's appearance. But her lipstick was such a gorgeous shade! Anyone know what it was, or any dupes?” she asked.
In the midst of all the crazy election buzz, Refinery29 managed to track down the exact shade of pretty yet powerful lipstick worn throughout the Clinton campaign: Votre Vu Champs-ÉLipsée Lip Crayon in Spark. According to their report, the brand’s publicist, who is a friend of Clinton’s makeup artist, confirmed the shade of power lipstick.

Interestingly, in Clinton’s campaign the focus on her appearance made for more of a feminist rallying cry than a sexist approach to covering her candidacy.
