Choreographer Luam Let's Her Natural Beauty Take Center Stage: Video

If you haven’t heard of Luam Keflezgy before you’ve probably seen her work and didn’t even know it. The NYC based hip-hop choreographer, who has worked with everyone in the business from Britney Spears to John Legend, is an industry vet and has the credits to prove it. Remember the epic post-apocalyptic dance off in Beyonce’s 2011 “Run The World (Girls)” music video? That was choreographed by Luam. The sultry moves in Kelly Rowland’s “Motivation” video? Yup, she was the creative mastermind behind that, too.

The road to success hasn’t always been easy, but Luam makes it look like a piece of cake. Let’s be honest, not many people can say that they went from studying medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and working in tech, to becoming a celebrity choreographer (talk about beauty and brains). After getting letting go from a job at AOL—Time Warner, she made the most out of a tough situation—in fact she made lemons out of lemonade. Luam harnessed her love for dance and turned it into a full time career.

With a YouTube channel that boast over 28 million views, it’s not difficult to see why Luam has such a hardcore fan base. Scroll through her page and it’s filled with a hit list of club bangers like Ariana Grande’s “Into You,” and old school jams like Janet Jackson’s “Pleasure Principle.” Even I’ve been guilty of binge watching her videos on repeat because she’s just that amazing. Aside from being an incredible dancer, Luam radiates a positive energy that is utterly contagious. She has an amazing head of natural curls, a vivacious smile that lights up any room, and flawless skin that can only come from being genetically #blessed. In this episode of “The Power of Beauty,” the choreographer takes center stage, shares her mantras on beauty, as well as the importance of having a creative outlet.
