Olivia Culpo likes her Clarisonic. Like, really likes her Clarisonic. To the point where the brand asked her to help promote their latest holiday launch—the Pink Mia Fit Cleansing Gift Set. But it turns out the gorgeous starlet doesn't just love her battery-operated cleansing machine, she loves all things skin care. She knows her serums from her boosters, her moisturizers from her oils, and can rattle off brand names as well as any beauty editor. We sat down with Culpo to talk about her favorite complexions savers—and what gets her in the holiday spirit.

You travel a lot. Does this routine change at all when you’re traveling?
"I try to keep it pretty consistent, but I definitely use masks more frequently when I’m traveling. Unless I’ve been really good about drinking water, I can see a difference in my skin as soon as I get off of a plane…it’s dryer, a little gray, I see fine lines where I usually don’t. So I layer on masks and sometimes I’ll even sleep in one! SKII makes the best sheet mask, and I also like the Kat Burki Hibiscus Antioxidant Face Mask."
You definitely know your skincare! What’s your number one skincare tip?
"Drink water! It seems really basic, but it makes such a big difference. I also try to be cautious about monitoring my salt and alcohol intake when I have a big event coming up. That stuff just comes right out and shows up on your skin."
So, if you were stuck on a desert island, what’s the one product you’d take with you?
"It’d be hard to leave behind the Clarisonic. Nothing cleans my skin as well as it does. Even if I go a day without using it, I see a difference in my skin. It removes makeup so well, and so much better than your hands alone. I don’t have to worry about getting a blemish or the makeup clogging my pores."
How are you taking care of your skin now that the weather is changing and getting colder and drier?
"I love making a face mask out of avocado and honey. The vitamin E in the avocado is really, really hydrating and the honey is antibacterial. I notice that in the winter my skin is way more sensitive and I get red more easily, and this helps with that, too."
Love a good DIY moment! Any other fun tricks or tips you can share?
"I make a scrub out of equal parts sugar and hair conditioner, about two tablespoons of each, and use that to exfoliate my skin and elbows. And if I feel puffy I put cold spoons on my eyes—it works amazingly well and doesn’t cost anything!"
Let’s get real basic. What’s your favorite thing about the fall?
I grew up on the East Coast and for me fall is all about the traditions we had growing up in Rhode Island. Enjoying family recipes like pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts and squash everything, and all the activities, like apple picking and hayrides. And, of course, there’s Halloween and Thanksgiving. It’s all the celebrating and tradition and activities that make the fall so amazing."
