You may recognize Cori Broadus as the daughter of hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg, but the 17-year-old is making a name for herself after sharing an empowering message about embracing herself.
The teen took to Instagram on Sunday to share a gorgeous, glowing photo of herself, which she paired with an equally beautiful message on accepting her dark skin tone and, in turn, to urge others to do the same.
"I can finally say I'm comfortable in my own skin, grew up despising the skin tone I was in because it's been bashed on for so long & society has been putting in our heads that dark is ugly," she wrote in the caption. "For all you beautiful chocolate girls/ women out there you're BEAUTIFUL & don't let anyone tell you different. - Cori B ❤️"

Snoop Dogg's protégé's recent social share proves the teen is wise beyond her 17 years—and if we're being honest—is giving us one more reason to #loveourselves for who we are—skin tone, age, size, etc., aside. Fans of Broadus chimed in by expressing their admiration for the star's post in the comment section.
"Yesss queen! Black girl magic is real. That's why people hate so hard. #melaninpoppin," wrote @langeljoy.
"4@princessbroadus you always been black and beautiful I'm glad you embrace it stay strong and positive," said @mrs_mickeymouse.
And lastly, @independent_analyst agreed with: "I've literally have always love your tone and complexion but we chocolate beauties have all had this revaluation a one point or another."
So now tell us: Are you feeling empowered?
