Style Icon Yasmin Sewell on the One Investment Piece You Should Own

Innovative. Unconventional. Bold. These are the first words that come to mind when describing international style icon Yasmin Sewell. The style.com fashion director, whose elegant and quirky ensembles have made her a street style favorite, never fails at serving up a killer look. Sewell is a fashion week staple and can be seen rocking a myriad of looks that range from boho chic to futuristic glam, putting most onlookers to shame. What do we love most about her style? That she is never stagnant. As Sewell describes it, “Someone who has innate and timeless style, it’s who they are. Fashion is of a moment. It’s always changing and evolving, which I love.”

Above everything, it’s her personal journey that makes her a true fashion inspiration. At the age of 19, Sewell moved from her home country of Australia to London, eventually opening up Yasmin Cho, a short lived boutique that spotlighted up-and-coming designers like Rick Owens and Pierre Hardy. Within the span of her career, she’s held positions as a buying director for British department store Browns in 2005, opened up her own consulting agency in 2008, and became co-founder of French label Être Cécile in 2013.
