The 2016 American Music Awards Host Is Officially Gigi Hadid

Just when we thought we couldn't love Gigi Hadid anymore than we already do (which is already lot, trust), ABC dropped a major bomb on us this afternoon: The 2016 American Music Awards host is officially Hadid, as well as the hilarious Saturday Night Live alum Jay Pharoah. The 21-year-old's co-host for the star-studded event announced the exciting (and totally unexpected) news on Instagram on Friday with a promo shot of the two, along with the accompanying caption: "Oh..BTW...I'm hosting the AMA'S w/ @gigihadid Ayyyyyyeeee." Do you think he's excited to be a 2016 American Music Awards host?

This isn't Hadid's first rodeo. Back in June, the supermodel played MC for the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto, where she turned out more than a handful of inspiring hair and makeup moves (think: pumped-up ponytails, sultry, goth-like lips, and sexy, slicked-back strands), so we can only imagine what sort of beauty tricks she has up her sleeves for the AMAs.
