Harry Potter fans in Texas experienced the yoga session of their dreams on Sunday when a local brewery hosted a class based on the series. Circle Brewing Co. in Austin regularly hosts a yoga series called "Pints & Poses," in which beer-loving yogis can practice in the bar, but this week's class included some extra enchanting perks, namely, a Harry Potter yoga class.
Since Halloween is the anniversary of the death of Harry Potter's parents, Lily and James, a yoga class on the day before the holiday seemed like the perfect opportunity to honor the departed wizards. Yoga class attendees were given a wand to incorporate into their practice (and they even got to take them home afterward, as if things weren't amazing enough already). During the class, the instructor referred to participants as Dumbledore's Army, and incorporated Potter references into pose descriptions. She even read the class a passage from Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.
Yogis at the Harry Potter yoga class were also treated to adorable sorting hat cookies, an epic "potion station," and other delightful Hogwarts-inspired props. The brewery was even decorated with faux cobwebs to help set the mood. (BRB, drowning in envy.) There's no word on whether the brewery will host another Potter-inspired class, but it's worth hoping that the event will inspire other instructors and studios across the country to follow suit.
