This just in: Hillary Clinton is the reigning queen of ‘90s fashion. Instagram is packed with throwback photos of Clinton’s endless selection of pantsuits, sensible pumps, and ladylike pearls. And much to the delight of clothes hoarders and Generation X, her vintage wardrobe still appears to be in wearable condition.
Clinton may not be the next president of the United States, but that doesn’t mean she’s disappeared from the public eye entirely. Since the election, enthusiastic residents of Chappaqua, New York, have spotted the former Secretary of State around town, picking out a turkey at the local market or hiking in the woods (politicians, they are just like us!).
As it turns out, Clinton doesn’t just value families and women’s rights. She’s pretty big on treating her own clothes well, too. When a photo of a casually dressed Clinton posing with admirer Abby Schwittek began circling the Internet a week ago, one savvy Twitter user pointed out something surprising: The lifelong politician appeared to be wearing the same fleece sweater she’s had since her days as FLOTUS. The last known photo we've seen of the sweater was in 1995 when the then-First Lady and her husband, President Clinton, visited the Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

You heard that right: This particular fleece appears to be 21 years old, the sartorial equivalent of a fully grown adult. Clinton clearly takes serious care of her clothing, while most of us are probably guilty of crumpling up gently-worn clothes and throwing them on the floor.
