Whether you’re out on the town sipping bottle service or ditching the big night out in favor of popping bottles at home with the squad (no shame), getting glammed up is synonymous with New Year’s Eve as the ball drop. Which is why we are living for Reformation’s NYE capsule collection designed with the consummate cool girls of Haim.
The ‘70s-inspired collaboration between Reformation and sisters Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim—who dominate festival circuits, not to mention festival style, around the globe while rocking out with besties like Taylor Swift—is as killer as you might expect. “Our closets are filled with [Reformation’s] pieces. When they approached us about doing a collaboration for New Year’s Eve it was literally a dream come true,” the Haim sisters tell Allure.
The result is an effortlessly glamorous dream come true for us, too. Picture plunging necklines, Rita Hayworth-worthy silks, lots of un-intimidating sparkles, and rich velvet silhouettes that will hold up way past midnight. “We were channeling full on ‘70s vibes when creating the collection and looking to #RefBabes Cher, Bianca Jagger, Diana Ross for inspiration,” say the Haim sisters. “There’s no better way to ring in 2017 than with a little 1970.”

Given the peak level of laid back glamour, all the pieces in the cool girl collab are made to outlast the champagne—after the ball drops, you’ll be left with pieces to dress down for your 2017 style resolutions, just like Reformation’s CEO and founder Yael Aflalo. “My favorite piece is probably the black patent jacket. I wear it with denim but it's good with a silk slip dress for NYE,” Aflalo tells Allure.

For Haim, Reformation’s commitment to sustainability and making eco-fashion more mainstream was just as important as nailing the band’s style for the collection. “We have so much respect for how Reformation de-stigmatizes eco fashion and affects positive change on the fashion industry and environment,” the sisters say. “Their clothes are stunning, but also happen to be sustainable, and we are so proud to be supporting this incredible mission.”
The best part? Each piece looks comfy as hell. “I think more girls are moving away from typical New Year's stuff like sequins and more into sexy dresses that are also really comfortable,” says Aflalo. “The new collection has plenty of fancy silks and stretchy metallic knits so you can look good and feel good all night.” Important no matter where you’re waiting for the ball to drop.
