If you're not in the holiday spirit yet, this James Charles Mrs. Claus look will have you decking the halls with boughs of holly and baking gingerbread cookies by the end of the day. Yesterday, the beauty blogger posted a tutorial on YouTube, showing how he transformed into a glam, drag version of Santa's better half. Sure, you're probably not going to recreate the whole look at home for your next holiday party, but certain elements of it can be definitely used as inspiration. Also, watching Charles' drag transformation is incredibly fun to watch. It's hard to believe that the teenager is self-taught (and only 17 (!!)).
The tutorial begins after Charles glued down his brows in true drag fashion and applied his base makeup. He starts by creating a burgundy-and-white cut crease look that was basically made for Instagram. Then, he drew on thick, exaggerated winged liner that took up all of his lid real estate. And for a particularly festive touch, Charles added some golden glitter tears. (How haute couture.) After painting arched brows, Charles paid homage to his new Covergirl gig by swiping on the So Lashy Mascara. He followed up a couple coats with the biggest falsies he could find. (TBH the new Flirt holiday false lashes would have been perfect for this look.)

As for his lips, Charles used a liquid lipstick Allure editors are loving right now, Too Faced Melted Matte in Drop Dead Red. If you take anything away from this tutorial, let it be this. Charles proves just how perfect this shade is for the holidays.
