Kora Organics Noni Glow Body Oil Review

Confidence. The word is right there, printed on the back of the box. Between the directions (“Warm several drops in the palms of the hands and rub all over the body…”) and the good ol’ “Made in U.S.A.” stamp. What the heck is that random word doing there I wondered…but then I was distracted by everything else on the box: a list of organic oils including rose hip and sunflower seed, a breakdown of the organic certifications, Kora founder (and supermodel) Miranda Kerr’s mini manifesto about the transformative powers of this oil after having suffered from really dry skin. This box is like a modern-day Dr. Bronner’s label, but less crazy. Much less crazy.

OK, enough about the packaging. Let’s get to the good stuff: Inside the glass bottle is a golden oil that smells like roses and feels like liquid silk.  A nickel-size puddle is enough for each leg.

I don’t suffer from really dry skin like Miranda did, but I do often wonder if I forgot to put on moisturizer. You see, I work out often so I shower often, which means I’m constantly stripping my skin of its natural lipids in an attempt to feel squeaky-clean.  Unlike most moisturizers that I just slap on quickly, there is a certain degree of ceremony that goes into applying this body oil. As the directions say, you have to warm it in your palms and massage it into your skin after a shower while you are still damp. It takes more than two seconds — let’s say it takes between 8 and 12 — but it is so worth the effort. Now when I look at my legs in the middle of the day, they don’t look scaly and ashy. They have a healthy gleam that gives me a total boost of...wait for it — confidence!
