IGK Launches Dry Shampoo Wipes and Anti-Frizz Wipes for Hair

Over the weekend, @Trendmood1 — the Instagram account responsible for dropping sneak peaks of not-yet-launched beauty products — shared a post revealing some newness coming from haircare brand IGK. The post shows what looks like a few aerosol spray cans (not the ones pictured above), a new powder spray, and various wipes wrapped up in pink, on-the-go packaging. Our curiosity got the best of us, so we had to talk to IGK about the new drops and what to expect from these products.

What did we learn? The pink packets are two different types of hair wipes: Swipe Up Black Charcoal Dry Shampoo Hair Wipes to cleanse and zap excess oils on the go and Swipe No-Frizz Smoothing Hair Wipes, to eliminate frizz and smooth flyaways. “Our Dry Shampoo Blotting Tissues are infused with activated black charcoal powder to absorb oil and cleanse while our Shine Wipes have Avocado and Camellia oils to calm static and block humidity,” shared Chase Kucero, co-founder of IGK.

So how did the idea for these travel-size dry shampoo meet on-the-go face wipes come about? “We were inspired by makeup remover wipes and how convenient they are. We wanted to take the one swipe remover idea and apply that to hair with good-for-you ingredients that work.” Says Kucero. “We wanted to create a portable and convenient way for women to cleanse or add shine to their hair without disturbing their hairstyle. We know our consumer is always on the go and looking for hair alternatives that work with her lifestyle.” According to the co-founder, the wipes are individually wrapped and contain zero liquids so they work great for throwing in any travel carry-on, purse, gym bag, or wallet.

These life-changing hair wipes are set to drop on December 19 and while the brand isn’t yet able to confirm what the powder spray pictured in @Trendmood1’s post is, we’re sure if it is anything like their sold-out Preparty Hair Strobbing Spray (which Trendmood notes is coming out in a different colorway for holiday) or Best of Beauty Award winner Rick Kid Coconut Oil Gel, then it will be a huge hit.
