NikkieTutorials Shares Her Assault Experience on Twitter

This past Saturday night, the YouTube star who goes by NikkieTutorials shared on Twitter that she was going out with some friends with a hilariously relatable tweet. "On my way to Amsterdam to dance the night away with my friends! 👯‍♀️😍🔥✨ I tried keeping my makeup simple, but we all know how that ended........." she wrote. Incredibly same. The next day, she recounted how the night took a terrible turn.

"Last night in Amsterdam, I was assaulted by two men," the makeup artist who is based in the Netherlands shared in a tweet. "They hardcore kicked my foot, I fell down and their goal was for me to drop my purse, so they could take it. DIDN’T DROP IT, so they ran off. Assholes." Nikkie went on to say that her foot is swollen and sore, but she's, otherwise, okay. "Just such a big eye-opener… it’s good to be aware that there are people with evil intentions out there," she added.

The queen of blinding highlighter noted in her next tweet that her friends were with her, so they were able to promptly report the incident to the police. "Not gonna lie, I was so scared they were gonna do worse stuff after I fell," she wrote. "Thank god they ran off and my friends ran to cops so they could chase the bitches." She didn't reveal whether the assailants were caught, though.

On Monday, NikkieTutorials updated her followers on her physical recovery. She ended up breaking two nails when she was kicked and got them fixed. She also said in another tweet that her foot is "starting to feel lots better." She assured everyone that she's doing okay, too, and resuming filming for her next YouTube video. However, Nikkie did say that "I notice I’ll get startled if someone walks closely behind me, but I’m sure that’ll heal in time!"

With nearly a million followers on Twitter and about 8 million more on YouTube who live for Nikkie's fun, easy-to-follow makeup tutorials, sharing stories like this is incredibly important, too.
