Lady Gaga Wears Corset Braid on 2018 Grammy Awards Red Carpet

Lady Gaga is always one to make an entrance at any event, and this year's Grammy Awards proved to be no different. The singer showed up at the red carpet in a gorgeous custom Giorgio Armani gown with a lace, long-sleeved top and a long (like, really really long) black train that required multiple handlers to get it just-so for photos. She also wore a white rose in support of the Time's Up movement because she's always one to support a cause. However, it was once she turned around that we really saw the effort Gaga (and her glam squad) had put into getting ready for the evening — as she looked over her shoulder for photos and revealed a long corset braid, it was easy to see her look would be one of the fan-fave beauty moments of the night.

The look was created by hairstylist Frederic Aspiras, who posted an entire behind-the-scenes detailing of his process on Instagram for fans to recreate the look, should they so choose (but good luck, TBH, without his expert hands). According to the picture, the gorgeous look involved four different John Frieda products, three different types of combs, and some extensions. After braiding the hair into not one but two fishtails, he weaved them together with what looks like black leather thread. That final touch helped create the stunning corset-like effect.

Of course, hair is only one part of Gaga's Grammy beauty look — her makeup has to be acknowledged, as well. Makeup artist Sarah Tannon wrote about her inspiration on Instagram, saying, "Gaga’s eyes were inspired by a dark starry night. Romantic and striking to compliment the gorgeous #ArmaniPrivé creation."
