There's no shortage of lip balm products out there, which can make the shopping process overwhelming if you're in the market for a new tube. Of course, there's tried-and-true brands, such as Eos and Lip Smacker, but there's one Sephora lip balm that has recently caught the eye of a lot of makeup lovers on the Internet.
Meet the Lip Balm & Scrub, a line of six products (either in balm or scrub form), which are only $6 at Sephora. As noted by PopSugar, fans are obsessed with these simple tubes that promise to leave your lips feeling nourished, soothed, and protected.
The balms come in five different flavors: coconut, goji, rose, tangerine, and almond, and each variety promises to do something slightly different for your lips. (The Goji Lip Balm, for example, pledges to "nurture and protect," while the Rose Lip Balm swears it will "nurture and impart shine.") The scrub format is available in a honey flavor, and will "exfoliate and smooth" your lips.
Sephora's website reported the findings of a satisfaction test that was conducted on 22 volunteers for each of the products. They concluded that up to 96 percent of the women reported positive findings for the balms, and 100 percent of the women reported having "exfoliated lips" after using the scrub.
The reviews also speak for themselves. "This is the first time I've ever felt the need for a review!" one user wrote. "I have severely dry skin, and that includes my lips.... My lips are dry, flaky, and I can't even LOOK at liquid matte lipsticks...this stuff is amazing! The coconut balm turned my lips from the desert to an oasis!"
Another customer left a rave review for the Honey Lip Scrub: "I love the Honey Lip Scrub. I've tried other lip exfoliants and this is hands down the best. And for $6 it is a steal." And this fan compared it to Tarte's Pout Prep Lip Exfoliant, writing: "First off, this smells fantastic.... Its such a nice product and is definitely a dupe for the Tarte lip scrub btw."
