With its luxurious line of sustainable, organically wildcrafted serums, beauty elixirs, and self-care products, Kypris has undoubtedly made a name for itself in the green beauty space since it launched in 2012. It started when its now best-selling Antioxidant Dew serum became a favorite among bloggers, editors, and natural skin-care lovers alike, but every highly-effective, gorgeously-packaged product is what makes its loyal strand of followers coming back for more. So it should go without saying that Kypris fans are in for a real treat come April 22, aka Earth Day, when the brand is due to drop a totally new skin-care product.
After catching several glimpses of what appears to be an ocean-colored concoction on the brand's Instagram, we had to know more. Thankfully, our kind friends at Kypris came through and divulged all the details on what it says is its most luxurious launch yet. Enter: the Cerulean Soothing Hydration Recovery Mask, which features ocean-derived ingredients like algae, plankton, seaweed, and cherry blossoms, along with a special antioxidant complex that the brand claims "pac-mans" free radicals.
In addition to its impressive selection of natural, sustainably-sourced ingredients, the packaging is equally on-point. It comes encased in a transparent glass jar emblazoned with mystical illustrations, allowing its delicate, calming blue hue to shine through. (In other words, just looking at this product is bound to lower your stress levels.)
In a press release sent via email to Allure, Kypris's founder, Chase Polan, explains that the mask was inspired by the ocean — specifically, its regenerative and healing properties. She adds that it also serves as a reminder of what the brand is all about: "Caring for Nature within and out, honors the sacred quality of our personal and natural world. Every day is Earth Day at Kypris,” reads the statement.
Kypris claims the treatment mask is ideal for anyone seeking an extra burst of hydration or to quench and soothe skin that's been exposed to the wear and tear of the elements (i.e. harsh temperatures, pollution, the sun, and so on). Fighting off free radicals and injecting the skin with moisture ultimately rejuvenates the complexion, leaving it clearer, softer, and calmer all around.
The only downside? Angel baby skin doesn't come cheap. At $210 per jar, this mask is undeniably a "special-occasion-only product" (for most of us, that is), but we went ahead and requested a sample and will report back with whether or not it's worth the splurge. In the meantime, mark your calendars for April 22, which is when you can purchase the pretty pot of blue at www.kyprisbeauty.com.
