Teen Boy Spends Four Hours on Makeup for Senior Yearbook Photo

There are a handful of pictures you couldn't pay me to put on the Internet, and the photos from my high school yearbook are definitely on that list. These are in addition to my passport photos and all license photos, past and present. However, according to Insider, an 18-year-old high school senior from Bishop Allen Academy in Toronto, Ontario named Kevin Kodra took steps to ensure that his senior yearbook photo would be one to make him proud, including waking up early enough to spend four precious morning hours on his makeup.

Kodra told Insider, "Throughout my high school career, my yearbook photos were always the ones that kids would laugh at when we would get the final yearbook at the end of the semester. I was tired of not feeling attractive." Given that he has 82,000 followers on Instagram, has spent time with the likes of Patrick Star, and is constantly serving up gorgeous looks, looking attractive in a yearbook photo seemed right up his alley.

About the look he ended up creating for the photo, he told Insider, "When photo day came around, I knew I wanted to express myself to my full potential — so I did what makes me feel most glamorous: a bronzy, glowy look. I love using cream products for photos as it gives you a very skin-like look, but with maximum coverage." He continued, saying, "Honestly, this may sound ridiculous but I consider this my natural look. For me, this is quite normal and basic. I did this kind of look for my senior photo because it makes me feel more comfortable and glamorous."

Everyone has a different idea of what's natural and basic for them, and it's great that Kodra was able to create such a stunning look that made him feel great on picture day. What's more is that it was captured forever in the yearbook, and will likely inspire others to do what they want to do when it comes to aesthetic beauty — something he told Insider was his goal all along. He said, "Although my job is to make people feel beautiful, my goal is to change the definition of 'normal' that many people have. Anyone can wear makeup. Of course, I feel on top of the world when I have a full face on, but I know that there are kids out there that don't have the confidence that I do."

Folks on social media loved Kodra's look and gave comments of support, including, "Highlighter brighter than my future ðŸĪŠ❤️," "Amazing ...break boundaries create new levels. love the motive!ðŸ™ŒðŸ―," and "BEAUTIFUL - Any way you want to be - follow your heart and dreams always. Surround yourself with those that support you and your talent. Stay humble 💕" It seems like he's already making a huge difference.
