Everyone I know with straight or fine hair is obsessed with the Ouai Texturizing Hair Spray. My roommate is already on her fourth bottle of the stuff. But a Ouai curl product is in the works, so soon, it will be curly little me talking peoples' ears off about one of the cool-girl hair brand's styling products. Jen Atkin, the brand's founder, took a break yesterday from styling the luscious locks of the Kardashians to give her Snapchat and Facebook followers a peek into the development process of the upcoming Ouai curl product.
Atkin did some Glossier-style crowd sourcing for the future product with the help of her Snapchat Story and a Facebook Live (even Jessica Alba tuned in). In her story, she called upon her curly-haired followers to vote on how they like their hair (crunchy or soft), which product consistency they preferred (pomade, gel, or cream), and packaging (bottle or jar). My selections: soft—of course, cream, bottle. If the product includes all three of these, I most definitely will hype it like my roommate does with the texturizing spray. She also dropped some hints on the scent of the Ouai curl product. She smelled a lab sample and said it had too much vanilla (TBH I would not have hated that), and she wants it to be more musky.

This won't be the first-ever Ouai curl product. Ouai (pronounced "way"—don't get it twisted) currently offers curl shampoo and conditioner, which is great for keeping ringlets hydrated and soft. However, having a curl styling product to add to my routine would be awesome, knowing how much everyone (including my roommate) loves the brand's post-wash offerings. We reached out to the brand for more info and will update this post when more information is available.
