ICYMI, we think that the Dutch have bested the United States in most respects: health care, sex education, hilarious-sounding pastry names. And now, the Dutch have put American lingerie commercials to shame as well with an ad for tights that showcases a wide range of models' bodies — including, and perhaps most importantly, a model with a prosthetic leg.
Produced by the Dutch tights company Zeeman, the commercial features close-ups of various different kinds of legs: "long legs, short legs, big legs, slender legs and strong legs," according the voiceover. The ad features a plus-size model, a tattooed model, as well as a model with a prosthetic leg shopping in a grocery store.
Judging by the Facebook comments on Zeeman's page, customers are thrilled with the commercial. "I like your ads. They're always so fun, with real people!" one user wrote. "Compliments on this!"
