A Drunk Boyfriend Apologized to His Girlfriend With a M.A.C. Gift Card

What would you do if your drunk boyfriend blew up your phone with messages on every social media app possible, saying "R u angry at me?" I would probably roll my eyes into infinity and not answer a single message, but that's just me. Over the weekend, a teen in Scotland named Jodie Duncan lived to tell the hilarious tale of forgiveness on Twitter. And her boyfriend, Kieron Cameron, is probably still nursing a hangover. Instead of staying in for the night with Duncan, he went to a birthday party and, well, drank a bit too much. Let's just say he felt pretty terrible about it. Duncan posted a screenshot of her boyfriend's onslaught of messages via Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook Messenger, as well as missed FaceTime and calls. The next screenshot attached to her tweet featured the ultimate apology: a 10-euro gift card to M.A.C. From now on, I will only forgive my future drunk boyfriend if they send me emails with M.A.C gift cards. Mark my words, men of New York City.

As of press time, Cameron's grand act of redemption has gotten 45,000 retweets and 120,000 likes.

Duncan later gave an update on the situation with a picture of her boyfriend searching the Internet for ways to get sober fast and drinking a much-needed bottle of water. At least he knows to do that.

Despite everything, Duncan told BuzzFeed News, "I wasn’t angry in the slightest, was just shaking my head at him.” Same, girl.
