Madonna's Skin-Care Line Now Comes With a Magnetic Mask

She's a singer. She's an actress. And now, she's a self-proclaimed skin-care connoisseur. Back in 2014, pop icon Madonna's skin-care line, aptly named MDNA, quietly launched in Japanese and Hong Kong markets, and now, after years of keeping the collection under wraps, the eponymous line is officially making its way stateside with the launch of its Insta-friendly Chrome Clay Mask. Although much of the official website is still in Japanese, from the looks of it there's also a few serums, a face wash, an eye mask, and rose water mist.

But today we're talking about the pretty remarkable Chrome Clay Mask, which is made from the volcanic ash from the Montecatini mountains in Italy. Officially, it's a futuristic face mask that targets clogged pores and dirt build-up. But what makes this mask so cool (and again, worthy of a slot on your Instafeed) is actually the removal process. Like the Dr. Brandt Skincare Magnetight Age‑Defier Magnet Mask and the Lancer Younger Revealing Mask Intense we saw earlier this year, the MDNA Chrome Clay Mask is formulated to be taken off with not warm water, but a magnet wand. (No, not magic—magnet.)

Don't believe us? Then you'll have to take Madonna's word for it, as the singer showed off the magic of the mask on her own Instagram on Christmas Day. "No muss, no fuss," she said as the mask was sucked right up by the magnet in the short clip. Madonna's skin-care line does not mess around.

And from the video we can see that the charcoal-colored clay mask is a creamy, and spreadable formula. In that dusky whip is white willow bark extract to calm and hydrate skin as the clay extracts dirt, oil, and whatever else accumulates on the surface of your skin. Unfortunately, because Madonna's skin-care line isn't easily accessible to the U.S., we've yet to get our hands on the Chrome Clay Mask and try out its magic magnet firsthand, but once we do, we'll report back with our full review. Until then, if you'd like to try out the magnetic mask on your own, you can shop it here for about $110 for 50 ML.
