Meet Stylist Jill Jacobs, The Brains Behind Kylie Jenner's New Fashion Switch Up

While the Kardashian/Jenner crew has been known for their trend-starting styles over the past few years, there’s one Jenner in particular that has really stepped her fashion game up: Kylie Jenner. In the past few months Jenner has broadened her choices in fashion and it’s all thanks to stylist Jill Jacobs.

For the past couple of years Jill Jacobs worked as the assistant to stylist Monica Rose assistant, who has dressed the Kardashian and Jenner sisters for years. Now it appears Jacobs has taken full control of Jenner’s closet, and it surely shows. In a recent post on thekyliejenner.com, and on the Kylie Jenner Official App, Jacobs shares the inside scoop on what it's like to style the fashion-forward Jenner. The duo's fashion vibes all started earlier this year with two looks; one was a silk AOTC dress paired with an IRO silk bomber, and the second being the infamous Yousef Aljasmi crystal cocktail dress and R13 denim jacket Jenner wore at NYFW. (Jacobs was also a part of Jenner's recent X-tina transformation.) However, a change in fabrics isn’t the only thing Jacobs is bringing to the table. Jenner has gained a whole new form of excitement for fittings. "I’ve really upped my style game over the past few months. Thanks to Jill Jacobs! I feel like she’s really amped up my look and I get SO excited when we do fittings. She always pulls the coolest stuff,” said Jenner.

When it comes to pulling Jenner’s chic looks together it’s all about teamwork for these two, plus just the right amount of options. “She might text me images of things she thinks are cool as a sense of inspo and I run with it. If something really stands out to me, I’ll grab it too. She has a great sense of style, so I love bringing fresh options to the table for us to work with,” Jacobs said. Jenner’s fittings usually include 1-2 racks filled with fly clothes, shoes, and accessories. Some days these racks are filled with gowns and some days Jacobs is pulling sweats, which she said is her favorite part about dressing Jenner. And while Jenner has become known for her sexy attire that’s not necessarily what Jenner or stylist Jill Jacobs are often looking for. A lot of times people show me ultra-sexy, barely-there options thinking it’s Kylie’s vibe. What they don’t realize is it’s Kylie that is making what she wears sexy; it’s not just the clothes,” Jacobs said.

2016 may be coming to an end, but Jenner and Jacobs are just gettings starting. And according to Jacobs it’s going to be a good year for Jenner’s wardrobe. We’ll be awaiting all of the fly outfit selfies to come.
