I don't have gray hair. I’ve never seen a strand; I’ve never even thought about wearing gray ombré hair. Gray hair doesn’t live in my world. However, I know what’s its like to mask dark roots. That’s no fun. But thanks to Bumble and Bumble color sticks, touching up you roots between visits to the salon doesn’t have to be so drag.
Of course touch up sticks aren’t new. In fact, if I think long and hard I’m sure my mom has a brand she swears by (if there's anything my mother has taught me about hair it's that my dark brown hair won't last forever), but Bumble and Bumble color sticks are different. They aren't your mother's root concealer. These easy-glide formulas are made with a mix of mineral-based pigments and dry fibers that create a soft finish so you don't see chunks of color on each strand.
And the five shades—blonde, dark blonde, red, brown and black—are pigmented so you don't have to constantly re-apply throughout the day. Nice!

The build-able sticks (which is awesome for filling in sparse eyebrows like mine) and can be applied like the stroke of a lipstick and blended in with fingers just like you would with your favorite gloss. I also love that they’re water-resistant, so if you get caught in the rain you won’t have brown dye running down the side of your face (just speaking from experience for a friend, you know).
The sticks are available next month in for only $26, which is great considering you'll probably have it for awhile. Indeed, has color has never seemed more approachable. Now I'm just crossing my fingers with the hopes I'll never actually need it.
