Like a Frankenstein-makeup creation, squiggle brows started out innocently enough — an Instagram here, a tutorial there — with the intention to create something cool. But quickly, they took on a life of their own spawning other brow trends — barbed wire brows, split brows, dragon brows, which seem to just keep getting weirder and wilder. Now, the trend has turned into a real monster for Halloween: Bloody squiggle brows are alive.
Because the virtual library of oh-so-extra brows popping up all over social media wasn't enough, self-taught, a 19-year-old makeup artist who goes by the name Eyesobell on Instagram, took the arch look to a new, horrifying level that just so happens to be perfect for Halloween — if you want to scare the shit out of your friends, that is.
Rather than simply whip her brow hairs into an interesting design, the makeup artist used wax and fake blood to make it look like her squiggle brows had been ripped right off her face. Ouch. "I take the #wavybrow challenge VERY seriously," she wrote.
But the most cringe-inducing part of the entire look? The fact that she uses what appears to be an actual knife (yes, an IRL weapon!) to scrape them off. Prepare for a scare.
Into the horrific Halloween look? Eyesobell’s page is full of bloody makeup creations, like trippy severed fingers and bloody eye sockets. If you test one out on all Hallows Eve, beware. These bloody looks are so nightmare-inducing you'll need to trick or treat with a warning.
