With speculation spreading yesterday that the Game of Thrones actors were engaged, it was starting to seem like this was the white walker of rumors — it just wouldn't die. Just a few months ago in fact, the couple shut down similar gossip about Jon Snow bending the knee. But this time, the engagement speculation turned out to be true. We're having a Westeros wedding, y'all!

The Daily Mail reports that Harington and Leslie had their engagement announcement printed in the Tuesday edition of London's The Times newspaper.

The announcement continued, "The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughters of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire."

This formal announcement confirms yesterday's unnamed source who first spilled the deets on the engagement to the U.K.'s The Sun. "They're yet to set a date, but told friends and family last week that they've got engaged," said the insider. "Kit's known for ages he's wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first." The tipster added, "After moving in together in January he felt it was the right time to take the next step."

The Game of Thrones actors met when Leslie's character was introduced in season two of the HBO series. (She was later killed off in the fourth season. RIP, Ygritte...) After keeping their relationship as private as possible for a stint, the couple finally went public with their relationship in April 2016, with Harington opening up to L'Uomo Vogue about falling for Leslie during the filming of the series. "If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show," he said, "it becomes very easy to fall in love."
